About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

First port of entry

I am planning to only go to Hainan but wonder if my first port of entry needs to be on the island or if instead I could be in transit from another major airport on the mainland (without visa).

To get the 30-day visa free access, you will need to fly directly to Hainan Meilan International Airport without any transfer in Mainland China.
