i am from the usastarting a cruise in tokyo, that ends in shanghai.

Question

I am staying for 2 nights in Shanghai, then flying to Taiwan for 10 days then back to the USA.  Does my flight to Taiwan qualify for the 72 hour rule or 144 hour rule?
