About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Return flight delhi-shanghai - delhi can i get free transit

I have swiss passport, living in india with work india visa, i plan to visit shanghai, 12th to 15th May. proposed flight Delhi-HongKong-Shanghi and return Shanghai-HongKnog-Delhi. Am i Ok with 72hr or 144 hr transit ? Also i have just visited china on 1 entry type, now used, but visa date from 05 april to 05 july?

This does not qualify for the 144-hour VISA free rule. The country you enter Shanghai from and the country you depart Shanghai to must be different countries. The best way to verify is call the General Station of Immigration Inspection (shown above) directly.
