About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am arriving in Shanghai on 10/27/2018 from a cruise originating in Japan.

I will be in Shanghai on 10/27 and 10/28/2017 leaving by air on 10/29/2018 for the U.S. My question is will I need a Chinese visa or will the 72 hour free transit suffice?

Judith, you don’t need it. You qualify for the free transit in Shanghai.
