I a an American citizen with a chinese tourist visa. Can I renew it by visiting Taiwan.

I am currently in China and need to renew my tourist visa under the 60 day policy. If I fly from mainland China to Taiwan/Taipei does that qualify for renewing the tourist visa. I know I can go to Hong Kong, but am interested in visiting Taiwan. Thanks

Do you hold a multiple-entry tourist L type with duration of stay for 60 days? If yes, you can exit to Taiwan first and then re-enter China to stay for another 60 days.
