You can change your work Z type to tourist L type in mainland China.
First, you should prepare the relevant documents: your passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form, and a passport-style photo, your residence permit in China, travel itinerary, return air ticket, and hotel booking record, as well as other documents the consular officers consider necessary.
Next, submit the application to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB.
