About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I am arriving into Beijing Capital Airport and Transfer to Qingdao.

I am coming into China next week and I have a 4hr stopover >> I arrive into PEK around 5am and have a flight to Qingdao at 9am.... do I need to clear Customs in PEK or I do this in Qingdao?

You need to go through the customs at PEK.
If you do the transfer at T2, then you may do the following procedures.
Flight Arrival - Inspection & Quarantine, Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection - Customs Inspection - Baggage Claim - Going through Transfer Formalities - Waiting & Boarding
If you transfer at T3, then you may follow these steps.
Inspection & Quarantine, Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection - Baggage Claim - Customs Inspection - Going through Transfer Formalities - Security Check - Waiting & Boarding
