Can Canadians continue using 10-year visa after renewing passport

or do they need to apply for a new visa with the new passport?

You don’t need to apply for a new one if the information on your new passport is exactly the same as that of your old passport. You can enter China with both passports.

How do you know that? Can you share a link to the information? I've heard what you have said is only true for Americans.
