Travelling on Hong Kong

I am studying in Hong Kong, with weekends free to explore. If I book a return flight from Friday - Sunday (72 hours) to Beijing, can I use the 72 hour transit Visa?

Ellie, if your travel like HK-Beijing (72 hours)-HK, you are not eligible for the 72 free transit in Beijing because it's not a transit.
