About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Thank you for answering my question. I'm a US citizen.

So, if I'm traveling back from Cambodia to USA through Shanghai on May 25, I will not need a visa to stay in Shanghai for 2 days?

Michael, yes, it is. You will be eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai then.
