About:China Visa

Hi, I will be making a trip to Shenzhen via Hong Kong.

Once i touch down i will make my way to Shenzhen, China. i been told i can get Visa on arrival to enter Shenzhen. But how would they know if i travel away from Shenzhen? And there's a maximum stay of 140 hours. Do i need any invitation letter to get the VOA at Luohu immigration?

CK, you don’t need an invitation letter to get the VOA in Shenzhen. Usually, there are immigration inspections in railway stations, airports and other ports, so once you go to other cities from Shenzhen during the 5-day period, you will be stopped. You are not advised to do that.
