Catching the sunrise at East Peak

I am planning to hike Mount Huashan this June and am considering to hike it at night to catch the sunrise at East Peak. May i know what time at night do you recommend to start hiking from Yuquan Yuan, the entrance to Mt. Huashan?

Also, once at the top, is it very dark and is there a place to keep myself warm and are there toilets?

Hi, it takes around 8 hours one way hiking from Yuquan Yuan to the East Peak. You should check the sunrise time in June beforehand, and then plan your trip accordingly. It is very cold at the peak even in Summer, so you should take a warmer coat. You could also stay at the hotel near the East Peak. There are many street lamps and toilets.

Do i have to book the hotel at East Peak beforehand? Or can i only book a room when i am there? Because i can't seem to find any websites to book my accommodation there.

There is Jintian Hotel at the East Peak. You are suggested to book it in advance through a hotel booking website or call them at (+86)913-4365187 directly if you travel on weekends or holidays. Normally the rooms are available as long as you arrive there before 6pm, but it is still advisable that you confirm with the hotel beforehand.
