Do we need to buy tickets to Forbidden City in advance?

I've heard that we have to buy tickets to Forbidden City well in advance as they issue only 80,000 tickets per day. Is this true?

Yes. The museum issue only 80,000 tickets a day. The tickets can be reserved 10 days in advance online with valid passports, or you need to get to the Forbidden City as early as possible and buy the tickets on the spot.
