About:China Visa on Arrival

VISA TO STAY OVERNIGHT IN SHANGHAI

I want to travel to shanghai from manila, stay overnight and return. I have purchased a product from a chinese company and they are to meet me in Shanghai with the sample for inspection and if correct i am going to bring it back with me

I hold a canadian passport but live in the Philippines

can i use the transit visa for a return trip to my departure or do i need something different

Tyler, no, you cannot enjoy free transit if you travel like that because it’s not a transit at all. You need a visa for that.
If you travel like Manila-Shanghai –HK-Manila, you will be able to use the free transit in Shanghai.
