About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

can i use hongkong visa for shanghai as well.

i hold a venezuelan passport and live in United Kingdom, do i need entry permit for hong kong as well as one for shanghai ?

i am only stopping for 6 hrs in hongkong and 18 hrs in shanghai and i want to know if i can leave the airport or i need to apply for entry permits.

You don’t need it for HK because Venezuela passport holders are allowed to enter HK freely for a stay of not more than 90 days.
If you travel like UK-HK-Shanghai (18 hours)-UK or a third country, you will qualify for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. No need to apply for a visa then. You just need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at Shanghai airport, and then you can leave the airport.
