About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Outbound: Frankfurt >>> Amsterdam >>> Shanghai /// Inbound: Shanghai >>> Paris >>> Frankfurt

Hello,

I am considering the following travel plan:
- Outbound / Tuesday: Frankfurt >>> Amsterdam >>> Shanghai
- Inbound / Friday: Shanghai >>> Paris >>> Frankfurt

My question:
- Would such a travel plan qualify for the option "144 hour free transit"?
- Or do I have to apply for a normal tourist visa at the Chinese Embassy, say in Frankfurt or Munich?

Thanks for your help + best regards
Eugen
