About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flight from Washington DC to Japan.

Hi I'm flying from Washington DC to Japan. I have a 14 hour layover in Beijing on the way there, then a 20 hour layover on the way back. I plan on seeing my cousin who is a student there. Will I be OK? Andwhich transit should I use?

Of course you will be okay. You will be granted 24 hours direct transit in China, and you can leave the airport and see your cousin.
