About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

if I fly into Beijing on 72 hour visa,can I get a train to Xian and back again to Beijing to fly out

Also if I just stay in Beijing can I go to the Great Wall or is that outside the administrative area of the city? Thanks

You're not permitted to go to Xian and back, but you can visit some popular Great Wall sites near Beijing.
