About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

I'm a UK citizen, working in south korea, wanting to travel to Shanghai.

Do I need a visa? If so, where do I make my application in seoul? I understand that the Chinese embassy no longer issues visas. So are there approved travel agents that provide this service instead? Also, is there any provision for making an online application for a visa? Thanks, in anticipation.
