Doesn't he 144 hour VISA really exist ?

The Chinese Government's website has no mention of a 144 hour free VISA for anywhere in China, it only mentions the 72 hour VISA.

Yes. The 144-hour visa free transit policy has been carried out in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Guangdong now. People from 53 countries are allowed to transit in the above places for no more than 144 hours without holding a visa. For more information, you are advised to contact the local airport directly.
