About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am from the Philippines going to Raleigh, North Carolina.

My first lay over is in Capital Airport, Beijing for 5 hours. After that, i will proceed to Newark Liberty International. Do I need to get a transit visa for my 5 hours stay in Beijing even though i'm not going out of the airport?
