And I need to travel to my hotel at Tseung Kwan O.  I plan to use public transport to see the sights during the week and will return to the airport on the following Monday morning.  What type of transport card do you suggest I purchase at the airport?

Since you will stay here for a whole week, I suggest you to buy the Standard On-loan Octopus Card. This card will be useful during your visit. You may enjoy some discount when you use this card to take public transportation. Hope this may help you.
