About:Chinese Embassy in Russia

Visa appointment /Urgent visa type

I am an international worker living in Samara. I wish to apply a bussiness visa to attend a conference in Beijing. 1) Can I submit my application documents at Chinese Embassy Moscow without any previous appointment?
2) What is the processing time for Urgent Visa service?

Ali, you don't need to make the appointment. The processing time for urgent application service is two working days.

What category of bussiness visa is required to attend a conference in China. According to my research its category "F". Is it true?

If the conference is for commercial purposes, you need to apply for an M type. If it's for business with some public authority or state-run companies or schools, you can apply for an F type.

Basically, I am a researcher working at University. I need to attend the conference for my academic purpose. I will present a talk. So according to your idea, its category F. is it?
