About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Shanghai 48 hour stay?

I have a German passport. I am in Japan. Can I fly to Shanghai and stay for a single night (less than 48 hours) without a visa? Inbound and outbound country is the same (Japan).

Well, as the inbound and outbound countries are the same, you cannot enjoy the free transit policy, so you need to get a visa.
