I am traveling from lax -shanghai -kunming-Kathmandu . Do I need to get visa for this travel route ?

Pant, if your total layover in Shanghai and Kunming is not exceeding 24 hours, you will be able to use the 24 hour direct transit in China. No visa will be needed then.0
