About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi I was wondering why the 144 hour free transit visa in Guangzhou is not stated anywhere

other than this website. I have checked multiple websites inc governmental and I have not seen this anywhere. When did this come in to place? And is there anyway this could be reconfirmed as this may affect many people hoping to benefit from the 144 hour free transit if not accepted at the time of travel (like myself). Thank you in advance

L, as far as I know, this news has been released since August, 2016. If you have any doubts, you are advised to contact with Guangzhou Baiyuan airport immigration inspection office to confirm that. Tel: 0086-20-36066950

Just called them and the guy said that it's "no good this time", so Guangzhou still has the 72-hour policy and not the 144-hour one.
