About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72HR Transit Visa 2 airlines

Chicago to Shanghai with one airline. Want to stay 3 days in shanghai then continue with a different airline to Hong Kong. Return Hong Kong to Shanghai (not leaving the airport) and fly back Shanghai to Chicago with different airline.

Technically it looks like I would qualify but I booked this myself with different airlines. Please advise.

So...I have a RT ticket with American Airlines Chicago-Shanghai / Shanghai-Chicago April 27-May 2

I bought a ticket with China Eastern Shanghai-Hong Kong / Hong Kong-Shanghai April 30-May 2

Diego, don’t worry. If you travel like that, you will be able to enjoy the free transit in Shanghai in both directions.
