I am a US resident with a passport from Cameroon

Going to Hong Kong but will like to travel by train to Guangzhou for a few days to visit friends. Will I need a Chinese visa if my entire visit is just 7 days?

Maxie, yes, you need to apply for two separate visas for HK and mainland China respectively.
