About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

hi, I am a us citizen traveling in korea now can i visit china for 3 days? but i dont have arc.

If you don't have the ARC, I'm not sure whether you can apply for the visa, but I know in a certain case, you don't need th visa. If you fly from Korea to a major city of China and then fly out to a different country other than Korea, you may use the 72 or 144 hrs free transit.

I am going to Dalin? I and not sure if that is a major city but I do have to flight back to Korea tho...

Well, if you have to fly back to Korea, you will need to get a tourist L visa. You can try to apply for it in the CVASC in Korea. BTW, if you refer to Dalian, it has implemented the 72h free transit policy.
