About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We are traveling from Hong Kong to Beijing and back to Hong Kong staying 3 days do I need a visa?

Can I get the Visa in Hong Kong? I'm traveling from the USA to Hong Kong then on to Beijing back to Hong Kong and Thailand when done traveling will be flying back to the USA?

Yes, you need a Chinese visa if you want to go to Beijing. You should apply for it in your home country, although it's also possible to apply through an agent in Hong Kong if you have enough time there, or at the consular office in Wan Chai (but that's a little more complicated).
