About:China Visa Application in USA

I am US Citizen going to China like tourist just sightseeing .

Do I need invitation letter from Chinese tourism ?
I have Passport , Air Ticket , Hotel Reservation and $ 140.00 for visa fee .What else do I need ?

May, if you have air tickets and hotel reservation, you don’t need to provide the invitation letter. You also need to provide copy of your passport, the application form, and a passport-sized color photo.
