eligible for the 72 hours?

Question

Hi I have a round trip flight starting in Vancouver-Shenyang-Chengdu- and final destination in Seoul. I got lost reading about the only one stop allowed. Can I get a 72 hour visa and leave the airport in Chengdu? (I have a 25 hour layover there ). I want to stay the night at a hotel in chengdu before continuing on to Seoul. Can I? Thanks

Pat, no, you cannot get the 72 hour free transit if you travel like that. You need to apply for a visa for that in advance.
