About:China Visa Application in USA

We will visit China on Oct. 3 -18, 2017. Can I apply China visa from China Embassy in Jun 2017?

If you will apply for 10-year tourist L type, you can apply for that in June; but if you just apply for a 3-month single-entry one, you are advised to make the application 3 months prior to your trip, basically after July, 3rd.
