Passport stolen. Made a duplicate passport in Shanghai. Can I travel to Japan with new passport?

Hi,

My passport got stolen in Shanghai. Registered a complaint with the nearest police station. Have all the documents required to make a duplicate passport. How much time does it take for the issuance of duplicate passport and can I travel to Japan and Hongkong Macau with this duplicate passport issued in Shanghai by Embassy of Republic of India in Shanghai?

You can travel to HK, Macau or Japan with new passport.
It takes about 3 to 4 weeks to get the new passport after you submit all the required documents.
