Is it okay for 1am arrival passengers to stay at hourly airport hotel at PVG?

My friend has a flight arriving around 1am to Pudong. We'd like to leave from a highway bus from the airport in the morning, so can he stay there even though he doesn't have a flight to transfer to?

Bri, I'm afraid he cannot check in the hourly lounge. As I know, the hourly lounge is located at International Departure Hall of T2.
It is suggested him find a nearby hotel to take a rest. Airport Hotel, between T1 and T2, is recommended. He can easily see it.
