Question

Hello,My husband is in the process of getting his Work Visa and REesidence permit. Is it possible for me to go on a tourist L type and change it to S1 once he gets his residence permit in China?If so, what is the procedure ? Do I need to leave the country ( HK for example) or I can do it in China?

It's possible to do so, but I should say it's just possible. If you want to stay for a long time in China, you had better apply for an S1 directly in your country. Anyway, if you enter China with an L type, you can change it to an S1 before the L type expires at the local exit and entry administration by showing your passport, application form, recent photo, temporary residence registration form, and a copy of your busband's passport and temporary residence permit.
