X2 Visa in Nagoya

Hello everybody, I'm currently in China holding a L type and I just applied to a private school in ShanghAi but I need to make a X2 type... I'm from France and now going to Japan, so I want to know if it's possible to apply for a X2 type in Nagoya and if yes what documents do I need ? Do I need to go through an agency or can I go to the consulate by myself ?
Thank you for your reply

Chris, yes, it’s possible for you to apply for an X2 type from the CVASC in Nagoya. You need to provide your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, your entry record for Japan, the admission letter from the school and JW form. You can apply for it on your own.

JW form is a form from the school to show how you pay your study fees in China. It will be issued to you after you register at the school. How long it takes mainly depends on the school. Contact with the school to learn about that.
