I have X2 type for march 2017 intake in guangzhou, do i need to apply for residence permit, do medical check up, and pay insurance?

Yuki, no, X2 type holders cannot apply for the residence permit, but the school may require the medical check-up. You should consult with the school to see if you need to pay insurance.

I have X2 visa from 2017 intake and we have to do residence permit registration every year,  which cost 800 RMB for 10 months residence permit,  as well as 500 RMB for medical checkup and 800RMB for insurance.
