About:Bullet Train

from zhangye to Mt. Qilian, Sand Island, Bird Island, Chaka Salt Lake, and Qinghai Lake

Hi,

3 of us will be travelling from Zhangye (Gansu) to Xining (Qinghai).Can someone advice us how are we to get from Zhangye to Qilian mountain grassland,sand island, bird island, chaka salt lake and Qinghai Lake. Thank you

There is one bus at Zhangye West Bus Station to Qilian at 12:00 (CNY62, 4h). You can charter a car to Qilian Mountain Grassland.
You can take a bus from Qilian Bus Station to Xining. The bus schedule is 7:40, 8:20, 9:30, 10:30, 12:30, and 14:30. It costs CNY86 and takes 5h on the way. Once you arrive at Xining, also charter a car to visit the sand island, bird island, chaka salt lake, and Qinghai Lake one by one.

How was your holiday? I'm thinking of going to Zhangye and Qilian too.... and advice based on your experience?
