About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

If stay is less than 24 hours then no need for transit visa in Shanghai for an Indian traveller?

As I have understood that if stay at Shanghai is less than 24 hours even a traveller from other than 51 countries (an Indian here) does not need a transit visa to stay in a hotel at Shanghai airport. Does that mean there are hotels at airport. Do we need to book hotel in advance and how? Can you name such hotel?

Ajay, if you travel like country A-Shanghai (24 hours)-country B, even though you hold India passport, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. You can find hotel around the airport. You can find an agency to book the hotel for you in advance. May I know which airport you will arrive so that I can find a hotel or you?
