About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

stopovers flying from Kuala Lumpur to Tbilisi

Flying from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to Tbilisi (Georgia) involves 24 hour stopovers in Guangzhou and Urumqi
Is a visa required for this or can i spend the night in each of the Chinese cities as a Transit visitor?
