We have an 18 hr stop at Guangzhou and have booked a hotel.

How do we get there in an affordable way? We are arriving early morning and understand that we cannot check in to our hotel until 2 pm. We depart from GZ that night around 12. After booking the hotel the small print said that shuttle was available in limited times- I have been unable to get any clarification on this. I wondered if taxi services are available and non exploitative. I looked at a couple of sites and they were asking 350 US dollars to the city ( which id not too far away I gather). Our hotel is considered an airport hotel but is still a few kilometres away. I am keen to know if we can get taxis easily and affordably at differernt times in the day ( we will need to be back to check in at GZ for 9.30..to be safe) - if our transit option does not work. Can anybody give me some helpful hints? Much appreciated
