Question

My 17 year old  son us citizen will be going to beijing April 1 then onto shanghai and leave from Shanghai April 9th.  Will he need a visa and what type, 2 entry?  Thanks ever so much!colleen

Your son will need to apply for a tourist 'L' visa. If I am correct, these are now issued as 2 year visas, with 90 day stays. (It's 90 day for UK residents, not sure about US residents)You will have to apply through the closest Chinese consulate.
