About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

Can an American obtain a China Visa at Toronto consulate?

I live in Buffalo, New York and am travelling to China for business next month. Can i obtain a Chinese Visa at the Toronto consulate? I know this was once possible but the rule was changed sometime around 2013. Will i need to apply at a United States location?

I think you had better apply for it at the consulate in New York. If you don't have a residence permit in Canada, it's not that easy to apply from there.
