About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I use the 72 hour transit visa onward and return trip via Taiwan

My plan trip is

US to Beijing to Taiwan
then
Taiwan to Shanghai to US/Cambodia/Thailand

Can I do that?
on my onward use Taiwan as my Third Country
and on my return use Taiwan as my first country?
Thanks

Conrad, you can do that. You will be eligible for the free transit in Beijing and Shanghai if your layover time in each city is not more than 72 hours.
