144 hr visa-free in Shnghai from/to Mexico

Hi there, I have a mexican passport. Traveling to Asia this March.
My flights are Mexico-Shanghai-Hong Kong on the same day (only 3 hrs layover at PVG) and returning Seoul-Shanghai-Mexico, staying 4 days in Shanghai.
Am I elegible to the 144 free visa in both cases?
Thank you!

Yes, you are eligible to the 144-hour free visa in both cases as you fly from one country to a third region or country with a transit in Shanghai.

To Rebecca:
Are you sure Victor will be elegible to the 144 hours free visit on his return from Seoul?
Because on his first stretch flying in from Mexico he needs to go through immigration at Shanghai PVG, even if he is in transit and won't leave the airport.

According to my experience, Victor will be eligible to the 144-hour visa free transit on both journey. However, it is suggested that you double confirm this with your local Chinese embassy or the airline company.
