About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Do I need a multi entry visa for the below detailed situation?

I am a US citizen arriving in Shanghai. I board a cruise ship from the port and travel to Tianjin.

Denise, because you hold US passport, you can apply for a 10-year visa, and then this won’t be a problem.
