About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

New Zealand passport do we need a visa for Transit to Shanghai Airport

Hi my husband and I are travelling on a cruise from Singapore have a stop in Hong Kong 2 days then end up in Shanghai to catch a flight to Singapore.

Tania, if you stop in Shanghai for less than 144 hours, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai, and then no visa will be required.

We are also docking in Hong Kong for a couple of days do we need a visa we have New Zealand passports
