How far is the Forbidden City from the Beijing Capital Airport?

What's the fastest way to get there? If its by cab, how much would it cost?

The distance is about 19 miles (30km). Take Airport Express from PEK to Dongzhimen Station. Next, change to metro line 2 to Jianguomen Station. Then, switch to metro line 1 to Tiananmen East Station, Exit A. The whole trip takes 40 to 50 minutes, and the fare totals CNY 29. Upon arrival, walk north to the palace.

If by cab, the fare may be around CNY 120.
