Do I need to apply for seperate visas?

Hi, I will be studying in Shanghai between June and November 2017 where I will then be travelling to Beijing to complete an internship for a following 3 months. Am I eligible under a student visa or will I need to reapply for a visa upon the conclusion of my study?
